Its not often I get to bring in the New Year with such an Amazing event! My awesome second photographer Jay and I arrived at the Westin Hotel, Alexandria just after 4pm to take some classic "getting ready" shots of Janelle and Al before the big event. I just loved the clean, simple and classy decor of the room.
Quite often with these winter season "late in day" weddings there is a certian scramble to make sure I capture as much detail as I can before the sun dissapears. I am grateful for the few minutes I had with this beautful bride and these great big windows before the sun dived below the Alexandria city skyline.

I was able to sneak in on some of that action next door as well... these guys were hilarious to work with!!!
Oh and then there is Alana...the couples gorg little daughter...seeing her mommy dressed like a princess was the most precious thing ever.
The Westin Hotel had a few very cool nooks and crannies on the second floor for a few quick portraits. As most of you know my jam is totally natural light so it was fun to get creative and use some off camera lighting for once :)
Then we headed over to The Carlyle Club, Alexandria right next door for the ceremony and reception.
Probably the coolest decorations ive ever seen. Seriously.
Then we brought in the new year together...
